Introducing..
Miriam Post-Dam is a lifelong sewer and added quilting to her skillset about 25 years ago. She has experience with Applique, Traditional piecing, Collage quilting, Foundation Piecing and recently added English Paper Piecing to the list.
She is also a FPP pattern designer with a passion for creating intricate and innovative designs that she sells under her business Quippy Quilts.
She has experience as a sewing teacher at schools. From teaching how to work with a sewing machine to ending the year with a WOW Show (wearable art). She also has experience with teaching one on one and small groups in sewing and quilting.
Miriam also shares her knowledge and skills by doing trunk demos at quilt symposiums and teaching at shops in NZ.
With regards to Legit kits Miriam started as a pattern tester for founder, Mike O’Dell in 2020. She is now recognized as an expert in Legit Kits, bringing precision and artistry to her work. Known for her eye for detail and creative flair, Miriam inspires others in the quilting community with her expertise and dedication to her craft.
Miriam was born in the Netherlands and emigrated to New Zealand over 20 years ago. She has worked as a Specialised Nurse, Primary school teacher, Animal Welfare Inspector and a PA. She has a husband and 3 adult children, 2 cats…… and 3 sewing machines.
